The Italian one-make championship event at the Nürburgring (where the Taurus brand also won in GT World Challenge Europe) was the scene of the first podium obtained in Pro-Am by Lola Lovinfosse and Laurent Hurgon, who drive the Lamborghini no. 76 of the team Schumacher CLRT Racing!

A few days before going to the Nüburgring, Lola Lovinfosse learned that she was one of the drivers aged under 26 selected to participate in the Super Trofeo Junior Driver Program. This system includes an evaluation carried out by Lamborghini Squadra Corse on lap times, consistency over an entire weekend, experience, professionalism, technical feedback and general attitude on and off the track. . Based on this data, the Italian manufacturer will choose its finalists at the end of the season for a final competition at the wheel of a Huracán GT3.

20 hopefuls are involved in the Super Trofeo Junior Driver Program in the European series. The Rouennaise took her mission to heart at the Nürburgring in the company of her new teammate Laurent Hurgon, the current leader of the GT4 European Series Am. In the rain on Saturday, the No. 76 ranked 7th in its category before go for a first podium on Sunday in the dry and move back into the Top 10 of the championship.

Lola Lovinfosse recounts her relay: “ With the wear of the tires, the rear axle deteriorated but I kept the pace in 5th position in the category. In the last three laps, our engineer got on the radio to tell me that I could go after the two cars in front of me and fight for the podium. Two laps from the end, I overtook the 4th and came back to the 3rd which I passed in the very last chicane! On the driving side, I think I made a big step whether in the rain or in the dry. With Laurent, it went very well, we had good discussions. He has a lot of experience in motorsport in general but this was his first race with the Lamborghini. He also had to learn the “Grand Prix” route of the Nürburgring, he who knows the great Northern Loop so well where he set numerous records. It was a great challenge and he adapted quickly. I would love for us to continue running together at the start of the school year. »

It is in the Am category that Schumacher CLRT Racing Team is best placed, thanks to the performance of Stéfan Guérin who drives solo in the #13 Lamborghini. A wet 3rd place and a sunny 2nd place marked his career at the Nürburgring and he appears in 2nd place in the points table. In Pro, both Simon Gachet and Tirman did the job in the rain, finishing 8th in race 1 after a stubborn journey from their 10th place on the grid. A disrupted second qualifying did not prevent them from getting back into race 2 but without being able to go beyond 12th place. The #83 is 9th in the provisional championship standings with plenty of room for improvement ahead of it. The medal table shows six awards for Schumacher CLRT Racing Team, including one gold (Stéfan Guérin at Spa). A mini-Iberian tour will close the season, first in Barcelona from October 11 to 13 before the finale in Jerez in mid-November.
