Championship leader Gabriele Tarquini set the best time in the qualifying session at Imola. The Italian driver will therefore start at the head of the first race of the trans roundalpine of the WTCC. Yvan Muller, in difficulty during the last weekends, climbs into second position, ahead of Rickard Rydell, Robert Huff, Tiago Monteiro and Augusto Farfus.
