It is an understatement to say that Tom Coronel clings to his passion. Despite a failed 2018 World Touring Car Cup season (23rd overall with a seventh place as best result), the 46-year-old Dutchman confirmed that he would be there in 2019 through an interview with newspaper De Telegraaf. It remains to be seen on which car. Engaged with Boutsen Ginion Racing and Honda last year, he successfully completed a test session on Romeo Ferraris' Alfa Romeo Giulietta shortly before Christmas.
