James Thompson will contest the first five meetings of the 2018 WTCR season. The double BTCC champion will be entered in the third Honda Civic Type R TCR of All-Inkl.com Münnich Motorsport, with year-round entrants Yann Ehrlacher and Esteban Guerrieri as teammates.
“James raced for us in 2016 and we are delighted to see him behind the wheel of the Honda Civic Type R TCR alongside Esteban and Yann. For the moment, we confirm James for the first part of the 2018 season, confirmed Dominik Greiner, the team's Team Manager. The decision to enlist James came very late. Due to some important projects for René and his company, he is not able to join our WTCR program at the moment alongside his professional obligations in his job. He will also focus on our project in Rallycross."
