After René Rast, Kris Richard will complete the WTCR grid at the Nürburgring on the weekend of May 12 as the second wildcard. The 23-year-old Swiss who notably won the ETCC title in 2016 has not yet revealed his team.
“It’s my favorite track. I have already won in the ETCC at the wheel of a TCR and this is the perfect opportunity to showcase myself by competing against a list of great drivers. My goal is to be in WTCR full-time in 2019, so this could be the most important event of my career.", warned Kris Richard.
