Partner of the defunct World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) between 2006 and 2017, the Japanese firm Yokohama will equip the 26 cars entered in the World Touring Car Cup (WTCR) in 2018. Last year, the Japanese manufacturer supplied the TCR to Europe and East Asia, giving it initial experience with cars following the TCR regulations, less powerful than the TC1s of the ex-WTCC.
