Three-time Formula 1 winner Giancarlo Fisichella will be at the start of the Suzuka 1000 km in September.

Having just turned 52, Giancarlo Fisichella continues to satisfy his need for competition. The Roman, champion of the category Endurance of the Italian GT in 2024 alongside Arthur Leclerc and Tommaso Mosca in the Team Baldini will be at the start of the 1000 km of Suzuka.

The Japanese event, held from September 12 to 14, will be the fourth and penultimate round of the Intercontinental GT Challenge. The Italian will be partnered by Shigekazu Wakisaka and a third driver to be confirmed in the Ferrari 296 GT3 No. 60 of LM Corsa.

Fisichella has not been idle since the end of his career in Formula 1The Italian has continued to ride in Grand Touring with two victories in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the GTE Pro category in 2012 and 2014 alongside Gianmaria Bruni and Toni Vilander.
