BMW and Team WRT dominated the 12 Bathurst 2025 Hours with a masterly hand. The German manufacturer and the Belgian team thus secured a one-two on the slopes of Mount Panorama this weekend as the #4 M3 GT32 of Kelvin van der Linde, Sheldon van der Linde and Augusto Farfus won ahead of the #46 of Valentino Rossi, Raffaele Marciello and Charles Weerts. This is the first podium in the Australian event for the legend of MotoGP who was competing in this race for the third time.

« This podium is a fantastic way to start the season, Valentino Rossi rejoices. The whole weekend was great because we were always strong and competitive. We were able to fight with our sister car until I made a mistake unfortunately and we had to serve a pit stop penalty. I thought at that point that the fight for the podium was over, but we managed to come back with a good pace. Raffaele’s overtaking of Jules Gounon was a lot of fun to watch. I’m very happy with the result. »

« We tried to win at Bathurst with BMW M Motorsport for the last two years but it never worked out, declares Vincent Vosse. This time everything went perfectly. It’s a big race that everyone wants to win, so I couldn’t be happier. Congratulations to Kelvin van der Linde, who in only his second race with BMW M Motorsport, took perhaps his biggest win to date with his brother. The #46 crew also did a great job in coming back and finishing just 10 seconds behind. »
