In the fight for third place in the 24 Hours of Spa, Nicki Thiim and Jules Gounon tackled the Raidillon neck and neck just over three hours from the finish of the 74th edition of the Spades classic. Neither of the two piotes wanted to bow to the other and contact was inevitable.
The Danish driver spun at high speed in the Raidillon. L'Aston Martin thus crossed the track to stop on the other side. More fear than harm, since the No. 95 of Beechdean AMR left. Marco Sørensen took over from his compatriot and is now in 10th place in the event. Jules Gounon is now in the lead with the Mercedes-AMG n°88 of Team AKKODIS ASP.

Here's the incident from Gounon's view. Thankfully everyone missed Thiim at Raidillon.#Spa24h 🇧🇪🎢 #FanatecGT #GTWorldChEu #IGTC @Pirelli @AWS @CrowdStrike @fanatec @TotalEnergies pic.twitter.com/eDkeys6biX

“I'm glad to see you, it was a f***** 360° in Eau Rouge, reacted Nicki Thiim in his box. What can I say ? We are in the last hours, obviously I was not going to give up. »
A few words from Nicki Thiim about that clash at Eau Rouge/Raidillon.
Fair warning, some of the language is understandably rather explicit… 🤬#Spa24h 🇧🇪🎢 #FanatecGT #GTWorldChEu #IGTC @Pirelli @AWS @CrowdStrike @fanatec @TotalEnergies pic.twitter.com/LPa5CBa1ME
