Author of a superb start, the Italian Eddie Cheever III (Caal Racing) won the Sunday race in NASCAR Whelen Euro Series in Magione, Italy. He is ahead of the winner of the day before, the double champion Ander Vilarino (TFT-Banco Santander) and the Frenchman Frédéric Gabillon (Still Racing). Vilarino is now 11 points ahead of Anthony Kumpen (PK Carsport) before the Le Mans finale on October 11 and 12.
