Alain Menu set the best time at the end of qualifying on the Hungaroring circuit. The Chevrolet driver recorded a time of 1:56:546 and is ahead of his teammate Yvan Muller (+0:111). Javier Villa (BMW 320 TC) will start from 3rd place on the grid.
Rob Huff achieves a disappointing result at the end of these qualifications. The Championship leader did not even qualify for the 2nd session, only setting the 12th time.
