Robert Dahlgren put in an impressive WTCC warm-up performance in Budapest. The Volvo C30 driver set a time of 1:56:430 on the Hungaroring circuit, a tenth better than the pole won by Alain Menu (Chevrolet).

Robert Huff (Chevrolet) recovered by setting the 2nd time of the session, still more than 4 tenths behind the first time achieved by the Swede. Yvan Muller (Chevrolet), Norbert Mischelisz (BMW) and Javier Villa (BMW) complete the top 5.

Urs Sonderegger will not take part in the race, the driver of the BMW 320 TC still complaining about back pain.
