The Brazilian, in 1:34??071, beat the Seat Leon TDi of Frenchman Yvan Muller (1:34??173), leader of the world championship. Followed by Andy Priaulx (BMW), Gabriele Tarquini (Seat) and Alain Menu (Chevrolet), winner three times at Brands Hatch in the last three seasons.
