During race 1 of the Italian round of the WTCC at Monza, contact between the Chevrolet Cruzes of Yvan Muller and Alain Menu sent the Swiss into the rail. Found guilty, Yvan Muller received a penalty of 10 places on the starting grid. A penalty which is however suspensive for the next two meetings. The double world champion will therefore have to be impeccable in Budapest on June 3 and 5 then in Brno on June 18 and 19 to avoid sanction.
