Gabriele Tarquini (Seat Leon TDI) took pole position in Race 1 at Zolder in the WTCC. The reigning World Champion rode in 1:38:265 and was ahead of his teammate Jordi Gené (1:38:430). Followed, on the second row, Alain Menu and Yvan Muller (Chevrolet Cruze).
