Gabriele Tarquini (Seat Leon TDI) won the second WTCC race at Portimao. Starting from sixth place, he got off to an excellent start before moving into the lead of the race on lap four. In the end, he is ahead of Yvan Muller (Chevrolet Cruze) and takes seven points back from him. He is now fifteen units behind the Frenchman.
Robert Huff (Chevrolet Cruze) completes the podium and is ahead of Alain Menu (Chevrolet Cruze), Andy Priaulx (BMW 320si), Augusto Farfus (BMW 320si), Tom Coronel (Seat Leon TDI) and Tiago Monteiro (Seat Leon TDI).
