John Hunter Nemechek (Chip Ganassi Racing – Chevrolet) won the first event of his career in Nascar Xfinity Series last night in Kansas. The 21-year-old driver was well ahead of Daniel Hemric (Richard Childress Racing – Chevrolet) by more than 5″, whom the winner had overtaken on the 171st lap after the last restart of the 169th lap.
Elliott Sadler (JR Motorsports – Chevrolet) finished 3rd and is in second place overall after this event, behind Hemric, leader of the standings.
