Abu Dhabi – C1: Slater finds the way to victory

And here is Freddie Slater (Mumbai Falcons) again! Having been on the back foot for the last two meetings after a great start to the season punctuated by two victories, the Englishman has found his smile again. Of course, it was in Abu Dhabi and its classic version, where he had started his campaign perfectly, that the 2024 Italian F4 champion got back on track.

Second on the grid, Freddie Slater immediately got the better of poleman and championship leader Evan Giltaire (ART Grand Prix). A better-negotiated start allowed him to take the lead before even negotiating the first corner. From then on, the future Prema driver in FRECA managed this Race 1 to perfection.

Taking advantage of the neutralisations and the fight between Giltaire and Ugo Ugochukwu (R-ace GP), Freddie Slater was able to ride with peace of mind to secure his third victory of this 2025 edition of the FRMEC.

Third under the checkered flag, Evan Giltaire remains the leader and sees Slater come back to 27 lengths. Tenth, Akshay Bohra (R-ace GP) inherits pole position for Race 2 (6:35) this Sunday.
