AIX Racing finds its third driver… for one round only

AIX Racing is experiencing a strange situation at the start of the season. The German team was recently the only one on the grid not to have confirmed its third driver for the entire year. And clearly, this third seat will not be occupied by the same person throughout the 2025 campaign.

During the pre-season tests in Barcelona last February, it was Jonas Ried who drove in the third car alongside Javier Sagrera and Nicola Marinangeli, the two official starters. For the season kick-off in Australia (March 14-16), AIX Racing will be able to count on Nikita Bedrin to complete the contingent but only for the round in Melbourne since the Russian is himself committed to the year in FRECA with Saintéloc Racing.

He nevertheless has the advantage of knowing the house very well for having played in the 2024 season of F3 under the colours of AIX Racing, with a Sprint victory to boot, alongside the… FRECA with MP Motorsport. Perhaps Nikita Bedrin will do it again in 2025, even if this time he is expected full-time at Saintéloc. Unless the German team wants to rotate its third car during the year…
