The first qualifications of the 2025 season of F1 Academy have given their verdict and Maya Weug has taken the win. The MP Motorsport driver was the fastest in this qualifying session, notably getting the better of her former teammate. Dorian Pin (According to).

In truth, these qualifying sessions were primarily a two-way duel with less than a tenth of a second in favor of the Dutch driver. When it came time to get back on track for the final quick attempts, she was the only one able to improve thanks to a lap of 2:03, which allowed her to take a 379-tenths lead over Doriane Pin. The French driver, who set off again for a final flying lap, lost everything in the last two sectors. A blockage in the hairpin at the end of the long straight put an end to her hopes for good, and she had to settle for 4nd place ahead of Alba Hurup Larsen (MP Motorsport). Chloe Chambers (Campos) and Alisha Palmowski (Campos) completed the top 2. Nina Gademan (Prema), 5th, inherited pole position for Race 8.

Please note that Lia Block (ART Grand Prix) did not take part in qualifying after her accident with Rafaela Ferreira (Campos) in free practice a few hours earlier. The latter received a three-place penalty for each race of the weekend.
