And one! The last team not to have confirmed a single driver for the 2025 season, Dale Coyne Racing has launched hostilities. This Monday, the Plainfield team announced the arrival of Jacob Abel in its ranks for the entire campaign on the No. 51, powered by a Honda block.

« It's a lifelong dream come true, welcomes the person concerned. I can't thank everyone who has helped me along the way enough. I've had a great relationship with Dale over the past two years and am very grateful for the trust he has placed in me.

The team has some very experienced members joining or returning to the program. I am confident that they will get the most out of the car to help me learn the basics of theIndyCar. It will be a fun and challenging adventure. I can't wait to start it. »

From a sporting point of view, Jacob Abel is coming off the best season of his career. Entered in Indy NXT with Abel Motorsports, he finished runner-up behind Louis Foster, also promoted but at Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing. In 14 races, he signed 3 pole positions and 10 podiums including 3 victories.

The 2025 IndyCar season is scheduled to begin on March 2 in St. Petersburg, Florida.
