Louis Delétraz set the best time in the first Friday session of post-season testing F2. Still with MP Motorsport, the Swiss achieves a 1'49''134, four hundredths better than Alex Albon on DAMS. Nicholas latifi is 3e on DAMS and Tadasuke Makino (DAMS) is placed as the best rookie with a 4e instead.

Lando Norris is 5e with his Campos ahead of Ralph Boschung (MP Motorsport). They are followed by the two Rapax of Rene Binder and Guan Yu Zhou. The two Racing Engineering of Maximilian Günther and Oliver Rowland close the top 10, the driver Renault succeeding Norman Nato in the Spanish seat.

In addition to this change, Pietro Fittipaldi makes his debut with Trident today as does Julien Falchero starts with Arden International. Arjun Maini replaced Artem Markelov at Russian Time but the Indian saw all his times in the session canceled due to the car being too light.
