Building on his momentum from Valencia, Jim Pla claimed his 3rd and 4th consecutive victories in Formula BMW Europe at Spa-Francorchamps. Placed in 4th then 3rd positions on the two starting grids, the Biterrois from the Dams team showed himself to be unbeatable in the Belgian Ardennes, which allows him to be 5th in the championship and to be able to claim 2nd place in the final. Twice 2nd, the Brazilian Felipe Nasr (Eurointernational) took a good chance on the title before the last two rounds at Monza.

French rookie Olivier Lombard achieved his best qualifying by taking 3rd and 5th places on the grid. On Saturday, he finished the first race in 4th place, very close to the lead, but was disqualified after the technical inspection, the wind visor of his Mygale Eurointernational being too low by 2 mm!? A very severe sanction... On Sunday, Olivier was unable to keep up the same pace with a car a little too understeer, but still finished 9th.

Côme Ledogar (Dams) took a good 5th place on Saturday, before being sent to the rails on Sunday by Sechelariu.

Note that the three drivers of Team Mücke still racing under appeal, following their disqualification from Budapest, their leader Christensen does not appear in the ranking but finished 3rd twice.
