Next season, British F4, like the other F4 series affiliated with the FIA, will enter new technical regulations. Until now, the drivers were driving the Mygale, a French car. For 2022, the British F4 championship will change and will equip participants with a Tatuus T-421, with an Abarth engine and Pirelli tires, as we can see in German and Italian F4. Other changes to observe are the appearance of the safety halo and on-board signaling systems. The FIA also announced that ROKiT becomes the new title partner from 2022.
“This is a truly important moment as the FIA-certified ROKiT British F4 Championship continues to progress towards what will be a breakthrough year in 2022, says Motorsport UK CEO Hugh Chambers. Our vision has always been to grow and make the series a global leader, and kick things off with partnerships alongside ROKiT, McLaren and Pirelli really gives us a solid foundation on which to build and unveil further incentives in the near future. It also underlines how serious British F4 is considered at the highest echelons of the sport.”
