The championship leader has no desire to lose his crown, so what better way to extend his lead than by winning the first race of the weekend? Leading the field after the Nogaro meeting, the FFSA F4 season opener, Alex Munoz made a similar start at Dijon-Prenois.
On the Burgundy circuit, the Frenchman took pole position on Friday before converting it into victory ahead of Jules Roussel, his runner-up in the general classification. Roussel managed to take the lead over German Montego Maassen, who started second, scoring his first points of the season while also securing his first podium.
On the other hand, the race was much more complicated for third-placed Arthur Dorison. He lost a lot of positions from the second lap before retiring on the fifth lap.
The day's strong performance goes to Rayan Caretti, who started 14th but finished 6th after a strong comeback. Ahead of him, Rafael Perard, 4th, and Louis Iglesias, 5th, completed the top five.
The first female, Lisa Billard, finished 11th, gaining one position from her starting position. The protégé of Mercedes, Andy Consani, was also unable to make it into the top 10 and had to settle for 13th place. 10th place went to a name well known to motorsport fans: Rintaro Sato, the son of the former driver of F1 Takuma Sato.
