FRAC: Montoya and Mini on pole in Abu Dhabi

The first qualifying session of the Formula Regional Asia Championship season took place this Friday at the Yas Marina circuit in Abu Dhabi. Sebastian Montoya (Mumbai Falcons) set the best time in Q1 in 1'51''849, allowing him to start in pole position for the first race of the weekend. The Colombian was ahead of Jak Crawford (Abu Dhabi Racing by Prema) by 0”037 and the Frenchman Isack Hadjar (Hitech Grand Prix) by 0”062, who saw his last lap canceled due to track limits.

The second round of the day saw Gabriele Mini (Hitech Grand Prix) set the benchmark time. He will start from first place in race 3 this weekend ahead of Sebastian Montoya, second at 0”075 and Jak Crawford, third at 0”077. Isack Hadjar set the fourth time in 1'51''748.
