  • There was no doubt: he was the strongest in Dubai. Evan Giltaire won Race 3 held in the United Arab Emirates this Sunday, the perfect conclusion to a weekend where the Frenchman showed a superb level. Author of the two pole positions on Friday, the Tricolore had missed the victory on Saturday, during Race 1, after a bad start. For Race 3, if the start was not ideal, the ART Grand Prix driver managed to maintain his position at the first corner and stay in the lead until the checkered flag to take his third victory of the season in FRMEC.
  • Winner of Race 1 on Saturday, Ugo Ugochukwu almost did it again this Sunday by taking a better start than Evan Giltaire but the American was not able to take the advantage at the first corner against the Frenchman. The protégé of McLaren nevertheless signs a nice 2nd place on this Race 3… but be careful, since he is under investigation by the stewards for a possible stolen start. The French were in good shape this morning, since we find another Tricolore on the podium, Théophile Naël, in front of Enzo Deligny. In the event of a penalty for Ugo Ugochukwu, we could therefore end up with an all-French podium.
  • Alas, for Dorian Pin, the day was not easy. The Frenchwoman, 18th at the finish of Race 2, was the victim of an accident during Race 3: the protégé of Iron Dames was unable to avoid a collision with Finley Green, who spun just in front of her, and was then hit by Jakob Bergmeister.
  • Earlier in the morning, Race 2 – with a reverse grid for the first drivers compared to qualifying – saw Jin Nakamura take victory ahead of Freddie Slater and Rashid Al-Dhaheri. Evan Giltaire, who started 8th, managed to climb back up to 4th to limit the points loss to his British rival in the championship.
  • With a victory, another podium and three Top 4s in three races, Evan Giltaire scored a major championship victory this weekend in Dubai. With 177 points, the Senlis native has opened up a nice gap ahead of Freddie Slater, who is now 39 points behind the Tricolore. Théophile Naël is still 4th in the FRMEC with 125 points, behind Brando Badoer.
