In the midst of a media storm, Hitech can be pleased with the scenario of this qualifying session in Formula 2. Dino Beganovic managed to inherit pole position thanks to a time set in 1:27.418 on the Emilia-Romagna circuit this Friday. The Swede took advantage of a red flag waved six minutes from the end of the session, precipitating a premature end to the session before the start of Free Practice 2 of Formula 1.
The cause was Kush Maini who made a mistake on exiting a bend and lost the rear of his car, throwing her into the wall in the middle of an attempt to improve. The other driver to benefit from this incident is none other than Sebastian Montoya. The Colombian, only three thousandths of a second off pole position, nevertheless has a great opportunity before the race.
For his part, Victor Martins was certainly among the day's big losers. Although third place was a reasonable result for the Frenchman, he seemed to hold the keys to a four-way duel with Alex Dunne (Rodin), Leonardi Fornaroli (Invicta), and Arvid Lindblad (Campos). Instead, the academy rider Williams technically inherits his worst qualifying position this year, while he is only six thousandths of a second behind pole position. Sami Meguetounif (Trident), the other Frenchman on the grid, fails to finish 16th after a promising 7th position in the morning's practice session.
This Saturday, the sprint race, which sees the grid reverse for the top ten, will start at 14:15 p.m. (French time) and will be broadcast on Canal+ Sport.

So Hitech is well on the way out, contrary to the rumors linked to the Oakes affair between arrest and flight to Dubai!
