Will Power took back command during the second free practice session in Toronto. The Team Penske driver completed the lap of the road circuit in 1:00 ahead of Scott Dixon (Target Chip Ganassi Racing) and Dario Franchitti (Target Chip Ganassi Racing).
Sébastien Bourdais (Dale Coyne Racing) finished 21st in the session (+1??416).
