Scott Dixon (Chip Ganassi Racing) remained fastest in the second practice session of theIndyCar in Watkins Glen (New York) with a time of 1'22''8740. The four-time champion was ahead by more than a tenth Helio Castroneves and Will Power (Team Penske), while Tony Kanaan (Chip Ganassi Racing) and Juan Pablo Montoya (Team Penske) rounded out the top five.
Sébastien Bourdais (KVSH Racing) placed ninth, two places ahead simon pagenaud (Team Penske) which finished eight tenths from the reference.
