Canadian James Hinchcliffe (Schmidt Peterson Motorsports – Honda) won the Louisiana Grand Prix at NOLA Motorsports Park, after a race which did not complete the scheduled 75 laps. The Brazilian Helio Castroneves (Team Penske – Chevrolet) finished 2nd ahead of Briton James Jakes (Schmidt Peterson Motorsports – Honda). Less success for the French, since simon pagenaud (Team Penske – Chevrolet), fighting with Ryan Hunter-Reay, was forced to pass onto the grass, before losing control of his car and hitting the Andretti Autosport driver. Sebastian Bourdais (KV Racing – Chevrolet) is the other collateral victim of this incident.
