Very fit this weekend, Scott Dixon (Chip Ganassi Racing / Honda) set the best time in the fourth free practice session of the St Petersburg Grand Prix, opening round of theIndyCar Series. Thanks to a lap completed in 1'01"9292, the New Zealander was 0"5 ahead of the Brazilian Helio Castroneves (Team Penske / Chevrolet) and the French simon pagenaud (Team Penske / Chevrolet), both in trouble yesterday during qualifying.

The top five is completed by Spencer Pigot (Ed Carpenter Racing / Chevrolet) and Graham Rahal (RLL / Honda), who is ahead of Manceau Sébastien Bourdais (Dale Coyne Racing / Honda), also back in business. Pole sitter Will Power (Team Penske / Chevrolet) set the thirteenth fastest time ahead of James Hinchcliffe (Schmidt Peterson / Honda) and Takuma Sato (Andretti Autosport / Honda).

Note that the session was interrupted by a red flag. Ryan Hunter-Reay (Andretti Autorsport) went to crash his car bearing the number 28 in the piles of tires. The American complained about his rear brakes. A mishap resembling those experienced by Takuma Sato the day before yesterday and by Sébastien Bourdais yesterday.
