According to IndyStar, Esteban Gutiérrez will not be able to compete in theIndyCar this weekend at Texas Motor Speedway. Sébastien's replacement Bourdais within Dale Coyne Racing did not receive approval from officials to race on an oval, former Haas driver F1 Team having not yet carried out tests on this type of circuit.
Dale Coyne Racing requested a test session with Esteban Gutiérrez this week at Chicagoland Speedway (Illinois), but IndyCar refused on the grounds that private testing is prohibited during this period.
