Scott Dixon (Chip Ganassi Racing) hit Jay Howard (Schmidt Peterson Motorsports) in distress with his car.
The winner of the 2008 edition found himself propelled into the air and hit the inside wall head-on. Both drivers appear miraculously unhurt, but the red flag is out to clear the wrecks and repair the damage on the track.
