Marco Andretti (Andretti Herta Autosport – Honda) set the best time of Fast Friday in 38, at 54 km/h. A time set at the start of a long 375,767h6 session, where the turbo of the single-seaters was running with 30 additional horsepower. A surplus of power which allowed Mario Andretti's grandson to set the fastest lap since 50 (Arie Luyendyk, in 1996 km/h).

Andretti was ahead of Conor Daly (Ed Carpenter Racing), the only Chevrolet representative in the Top 10, who also benefited from slipstreaming on his fast lap, and Scott Dixon (Chip Ganassi Racing – Honda), still to his advantage, after being the fastest on Thursday.

During this big rehearsal before qualifying on Saturday, simon pagenaud (Team Penske – Chevrolet) finished 22nd, while Fernando Alonso (McLaren SP – Chevrolet), whose car hit the wall on Thursday and who started the session two hours after it started, set the 25th fastest time.

After a final practice session, qualifying will begin on Saturday at 17 p.m. (HF).
