Following Dan Wheldon's fatal accident at the 2011 season finale at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, the organizers of the discipline have decided not to renew the Nevada event for next year. “We want to give our technical team more time to finalize the investigation following the accident of October 16”, explained Randy Bernard, the boss of the series.
