While qualifying for the first race of?IndyCar Series, in the streets of Sao Paulo (Brazil), were to be played on Saturday evening, these were postponed to this Sunday. Many drivers complained about the pitiful state of the circuit, a bumpy and damaged urban layout. In addition, the start/finish straight was considered too narrow.
After the designation of the first round of the IndyCar Series season, drivers such as Rubens Barrichello considered the decision to draw a circuit in the streets of Sao Paulo to be bad.
