Jean-Karl Vernay (Sam Schmidt Motorsports) will have to wait to win the title in IndyLights, the antechamber of the?IndyCar Series. Third in the Kentucky race, the Frenchman was beaten by Pippa Mann and James Hinchcliffe, his most serious rival. With a 48-point lead over the Canadian, Jean-Karl Vernay is not mathematically guaranteed to win the title, which should be done during the last race of the season, in Miami.
