This season the Izod calendar IndyCar Series includes more road courses than ovals. The leaders of the American championship have decided to award a trophy to the best drivers on each of the two types of track at the end of the season. As a reminder, it is currently Will Power who is at the top of the general classification and therefore also of the "road classification", no event having yet taken place on an oval.
