Graham Rahal (Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing) set the best time with a lap completed in 1'05''0239 ahead of Helio Castroneves (Team Penske) and Marco Andretti (Andretti Autosport). Championship leader Scott Dixon (Chip Ganassi Racing) finished 10th while simon pagenaud (Team Penske) set the 12th fastest time.
