The 22-year-old driver from Isère, reigning Formula Star Mazda Series Champion in the USA, has just announced that he will compete in the 2012 Indy Lights championship with Sam Schmidt Motorsport, the team which has won five of the last eight titles in the discipline, including the last with the American Josef Newgarden. Tristan Vautier follows in the footsteps of Jean-Karl Vernay, Champion in 2010.
