The seven-time champion Nascar Jimmie Johnson, driver of the Hendrick Motorsports team in the Cup Series on the other side of the Atlantic, will soon carry out a test in IndyCar with the help of the Chip Ganassi Racing team.
A new appearance in car for the ex-king of the planet Nascar, he who had exchanged his seat with Fernando Alonso at the end of the 2018 season on the Sakhir track in Bahrain, and a session which replaces the one originally planned earlier in the year with Arrow McLaren SP, before motorsport was put on hold in the face of the coronavirus pandemic.
Jimmie Johnson is competing this year in what must be his last full Nascar campaign and should slip into the seat of the DW12 – Chip Ganassi Racing on July 8 in Indianapolis.
I get to test an @IndyCar next week! A big thanks to my friends @CGRIndyCar & @GanassiChip for the opportunity. Now back to the gym for a crash course in IndyCar specific strength training. pic.twitter.com/Bc7JLB1O8T
