Correa, who we saw rise to F2 on the European promotion formula ladder, will participate in seven of the twelve races to come in the end of the 2025 Indy NXT season. He will also participate in two oval test sessions, with the possibility of taking part in some of the end-of-season races. This weekend, Juan Manuel Correa will participate in the two rounds organized on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course. He will drive for HMD Motorsports, replacing Bryce Aron, who had to throw in the towel after the second round of the championship, at Barber Motorsports Park.
“I am very excited to join the HMD Motorsports family and compete in the Indy NXT in 2025.”, Correa said. “This opportunity is a significant step in my career, and I look forward to applying everything I've learned from my previous experiences in the upcoming races. The team's support has been tremendous, and I'm ready to give my best on the track.”
Correa has returned to Formula 2 in recent seasons. The American driver spent many months in rehabilitation following the accident he suffered at Spa-Francorchamps in 2019. Juan Manuel Correa, who suffered a serious back injury, was also mentally affected, as French driver Anthoine Hubert lost his life after being involved in the same accident. First returned to Formula 3, he managed to climb back up to Formula 2, before redirecting his career to the United States.
