Like his comrades who left for the United Arab Emirates to compete in the FRMEC with a view to their commitment to FRECA for the most part, Jules Caranta has set sail for the Iberian Peninsula where he is involved in the Spanish Winter Championship series in the Eurocup-3 category.
It is in this same latter that the Tropézien, member of the Red Bull Junior Team, will prove itself during the 2025 season with Campos. While waiting for the start of hostilities, the Tricolore completed its second meeting of the campaign this weekend in Portimão.
Although he was unable to climb onto the podiums, Jules Caranta still managed to show himself to the experts, thanks in particular to his great overtaking skills. 16th on the grid for Race 1 (after a penalty), the Frenchman managed to climb back up to 10th place before finishing 6th in the Sprint a few hours later on Saturday.
On Sunday, Caranta was a little more in form with the 5th time in qualifying and a 4th place in Race 2 but he finally received a 10-second penalty after a collision with Juan Cota and James Egozi, dropping back to 11th place. With 32 points, he is now in 7th place in the championship, led by Mattia Colnaghi (MP Motorsport) with 97 points.
The last round is scheduled at MotoLand Aragón from March 28 to 30.
