Elon Musk's Favorite Cryptocurrency, Dogecoin, Will Be at the Indy 500

Internet users can now vote between three liveries for the one they would like to see the Canadian driver sport next May. DeFrancesco will team up with Graham Rahal, Louis Foster, and Takuma Sato. The Canadian will be attempting to qualify for the Indy 500 for the third time, as he returns to competition in IndyCar after stepping down from Andretti Autosport at the end of the 2023 season. DeFrancesco is not new to the "exotic" sponsorship scene, having worn the colors of the energy drink "Wooooo Energy", created by wrestler Ric Flair.

For Dogecoin, it's a return to racing after sponsoring Josh Wise on several events in NASCAR in 2014. The cryptocurrency, launched as a parody of Bitcoin, is currently reaching new heights of popularity and valuation thanks in particular to the publicity given to it by Elon Musk.
