« I'm super excited to announce that I will be joining MP Motorsport for the F1 Academy, said Amna. MP Motorsport is a fantastic team with decades of expertise, so I'm really happy to be part of this family. I'm also very excited to be back behind the wheel and see where this takes us.

« I am delighted to announce that I will be racing with MP Motorsport for the F1 Academy, adds her younger sister. I'm excited to represent MP Motorsport in this series and I'm aware of the team's incredible past, so I'm looking forward to continuing with them and growing. »

Team principal Sander Dorsman said: “ We are absolutely delighted to welcome Amna and Hamda to our F1 Academy team. They come from a family that has speed in its veins and has a bright future in motorsport ahead of them. I have very good memories of the 24 Hours of Dubai where we faced their father Khaled who won it twice in 2012, 2013 when Amna and Hamda were still little girls, then a third time in 2020. It's incredible to realize that they have become fierce competitors in karting and now in single-seaters where they form arguably the fastest twin act in the entire world of motorsport. 2023 is going to be great with both of them. »
