Four drivers within a tenth of a second. This is the symbol of a particularly close qualifying session, ultimately dominated by Chloe Chambers (Campos) this Saturday afternoon. Behind the American, who set the fastest time in 2.00.458:18, Alisha Palmowski certainly thought she had stolen the place. Although only XNUMX thousandths of a second behind, the British driver will still start from the front row for Sunday's race.

Behind the two women, Dorian Pin is third, 71 thousandths of a second off pole, while Ella Lloyd (Rodin Motorsport), winner of the first race in Jeddah, is only five thousandths behind the Frenchwoman. The four leaders of the day will, however, start from eighth to fifth place in the first race broadcast this Saturday from 20:45 p.m. (French time) on Canal+ Sport.

Among the disappointments of this qualifying session, Maya Weug (MP Motorsport), supported by Ferrari and the brilliant leader of the championship at this stage, has not managed to set a better time than tenth. Although very fast since the start of the season, the Dutchwoman will have to show a pace at least similar to that of Jeddah to hope not to lose too many points to her rivals at the top of the table.
