Miki Koyama first female champion of a mixed FIA series

By winning seven times in the 2022 Formula Regional Japan season, Japanese Miki Koyama has written a small page of motorsport history. The 25-year-old driver became the first woman to win a mixed single-seater championship on the Fuji circuit this Saturday, September 10, with three races still to go.

Miki Koyama est incluse dans le programme Junior de Toyota depuis le début de l’année 2022. Elle s’était distinguée lors de la première saison d’existence de la W Series avec une 7e place finale en 2019. Si sa relation avec le constructeur japonais se poursuit en 2023, sa carrière devrait la mener en toute logique vers la Super Formula Lights (anciennement baptisée F3 Japan).
