- He is one of the favorites for this 2025 season and he is already there. Freddie Slater (PREMA) took the first pole position of the year in FRECA, on the Misano circuit (Italy) which hosts the opening round of the championship. The Briton set the fastest time of the session among the two groups in 1:28, beating the first reference set by Matteo de Palo (Trident) in Group A (373:1). The Italian will therefore start on the front row alongside the PREMA driver, who was visibly unperturbed by his stint in Formula 3 in Bahrain, mid-April!
- Another favorite for this 2025 campaign, Evan Giltaire missed the boat in this first qualifying session. While the ART Grand Prix driver set the 2nd fastest time in Group A behind Matteo de Palo, he will have to start from 4th place only (since Group B was faster). The FRMEC champion will line up alongside Rashid Al Dhaheri (PREMA) on the second row for Race 1, which will take place this Saturday at 16:10 p.m.
- For the other French teams, this first qualification of the year was not the most brilliant. In Group A – disrupted by a red flag following Kulkarni Aditya's exit from the track – Enzo Peugeot (RPM) only set the 9th fastest time and will therefore have to start from 18th place. In Group B, Enzo Deligny (R-ace GP) set the 6th fastest time in his group and will start Race 1 in 11th place.
