With numerous improvements observed during this first Free Practice session of the weekend, Nikola Tsolov set the fastest time in 1:25.622. By more than two tenths of a second, Tim Tramnitz missed out on the symbolic first place, despite having managed to climb to the top of the timesheets with each notable improvement on the track.

Among the first events of this perilous weekend in the streets of Monaco, no collisions were reported. However, Noah Stromsted, currently second in the general championship standings and well placed to fight for the best time, crashed his car in the final third of the session. Breaking his front wing against a barrier, the Danish driver quite logically inherited a 21st place this Thursday afternoon. Note that Ivan Domingues (VAR) also made a mistake, heading straight for the escape route in the final moments, without any consequences for him.

On the French drivers' side, Alessandro Giusti (MP Motorsport), who had been second for a long time in the first half of the session, set a personal best time of 1:26837, putting him more than a second off the pace. Théophile Naël (VAR), in tenth place, finished better in these tests, but is still one second behind Tsolov. Rafael Câmara, leader of the championship with more than 20 points ahead of his teammate Trident, is ranked fourth without having given the impression of wanting to push his performances to their paroxysm.
